Everything starts with an initial virtual or onsite visit of your space to better understand what you want help with. From there, a complimentary, no-obligation project estimate will be created for you to review. From approving the project estimate, the real fun begins and each project can involve any number of the services described below.
Consultations
When we are ready to begin your project we will start with a consultation meeting. I will thoroughly go over your project with you. We will discover your design likes/dislikes, favourite colours, working budget for furnishings and accessories and anything else that needs to be discussed. A work plan will be established in collaboration with you and approved by you.
Creative Conceptualization & Design
A beautiful, stylish and functional space is important for creating harmony for you and others. Conceptualization and design are foundational and crucial to solve design challenges, showcase new design ideas and solutions. Layouts can include furniture placement, problem-solving space solutions, colour schemes, style & product concepts, links to sourced items to purchase and inspiration examples.
Sourcing • Purchasing
When purchasing new items I work within your budget and strive to achieve maximum results. We can purchase new items and we can re-purpose existing items in your home or commercial space. I care about sustainability and supporting Canadian design as much as possible and purchasing purposefully. I can do the sourcing and purchasing for you, or I can coach and advise you for you to do yourself.
Project Management
My job is to help keep you on budget, on schedule and up to date. I can even take extra stress off your hands and manage hired service vendors such as carpenters, plumbers, painters and other tradespeople, if you wish!
Consulting • Accompanied Shopping & Vendor meetings
It can be overwhelming making design choices and decisions. I can be your design consultant assisting you on making good design choices when working with vendors and contractors, furniture and accessory shopping trips, and vendor meetings.
Styling
I work with what you have! I can rearrange your furnishings, accessories and artwork to transform your space into a more functional and aesthetically pleasing space. If your space requires that extra needed touch it can be done with a few new accessories, a statement furniture piece or a fresh new wall colour! The goal is to create a harmonious design and a space you love without necessarily replacing anything!
Colour Consultation
I can help you find the right colours for your project. One of the quickest and most cost effective ways to refresh your space is with a new coat of paint! Colour impacts us on an emotional and psychological level so having the right colour in your environment is important.
I work with Benjamin Moore Paints. They have a large range of paint options with different price points and applications. Their paint is high quality and covers better than other paints as you may not require a primer or only need one or two coats, thus saving you time and money. They are a leader in their industry for being environmentally responsible.
Style & Decor Virtual Coaching
Developing your own sense of style and finding your design expression is a journey. I can help you by providing design coaching support during our time working together on a project and beyond. I will virtually be there with you to help guide, advise and give recommendations to empower you to be confident in making good design decisions that reflect your personality and self-expression.
Custom Graphic Art Design
As an experienced and accomplished Graphic Designer and Graphic Artist I can work with you to create custom designs and/or source designs from an abundance of online vendor services. Adding your own ideas and personality to your space is an inspiring and creative way to achieve a space you love. It also can play an important role in branding your commercial space.
Ideas are endless from a pillow with your favourite inspirational saying, fun dog wallpaper for your kid’s bedroom to a beautiful art canvas print of your favourite photograph.
